South East Fibre Exports Pty Ltd Annual Report 2007 to the Australian  Securities and Investments Commission

In 2007, SEFE recorded a near record net profit - after tax - of $9.063 million, about 33% higher than the previous year ($6.840 million). This was due to:

  • Higher total revenue of $1.7 million due to higher sales volume

  • Fall in value of consumables used (pulplogs) - about $1.5 million, due to lower pulplog input prices.

  • Lower expenses of $1.4 million

Taxes increased by $1.5 million.

 

The net profit is the highest since the record $11.8 million in 1998.

 

The average wage was $81,650 and average wage + employee benefits was $89,920

 

SEFE is making record profits while FNSW supplies it with near record low, loss making, prices for pulplogs. Victorian prices are even lower.

The freight subsidy on royalties for NSW to SEFE 06/07 $885,160.
